Do you hold my money?+
No. We never hold, custody, or touch your funds. Trades execute in your own Robinhood Agentic account. We access it via Robinhood's official Agent API — the same account type Robinhood built for third-party AI tools.
What is the Agentic account?+
Robinhood introduced a separate "Agentic" account type specifically for third-party AI agents. It's distinct from your Individual and IRA accounts — Market Capt'n only ever connects to this account, never the others.
Do I need to set up anything in Robinhood before connecting?+
Yes — for live trading you'll need to enable the Agentic account inside the Robinhood app first (Settings → Investing → Agentic Account), then fund it separately from your Individual account. This is a Robinhood requirement, not ours. Paper trading requires none of this — you can start immediately with no Robinhood account at all.
What happens if an agent loses money?+
The same thing that happens when any trade goes wrong — you take the loss in your account. Agents are algorithmic tools, not guarantees. That's why every proposal includes a stop price and a risk check, and why nothing is placed without your approval.
Can I pause or stop an agent?+
Yes. You can pause any agent from the dashboard at any time, adjust its risk settings, or disconnect entirely. You're always in control.
Is this a robo-advisor?+
No. Market Capt'n is a software tool, not a registered investment adviser. Agents surface opportunities based on technical signals — they don't give personalized financial advice. You make every final decision.
What stocks can it trade?+
US-listed equities and ETFs only. Options, crypto, and margin are not supported. Agents only propose regular stock orders.
